Fruit, grants us energy and nourishes our lives. Fruitsˇ¦ colours and forms beautify and enrich our planet. Fruit, is also the springhead of LEUNG Yiu Wahˇ¦s art inspiration. Leungˇ¦s artworks are particularly about applesˇ¦ colours, appearances, structures, odors, cultural meanings, religious symbols; time, space, sound, light, mechanics, environment, carriages of human body would be concerned too. With his artful hands, apples could be marble sculptures, decorations hanging at the ceiling, fragrant colourful flowing water, action art of quake with sound like wildly whirling etc. For many years, he has fruited from his labour on the art.

Leung Yiu-Wah has mixed without complex, with a dose certain of narcissism, applying the technique the most classic into the avant-garde. Works of Leung generally like the Chinese art, not to be read in the linear way but in overall they are immediately accessible where the symbols serve of medium. In the works of him, every work or installations possess its origin and its finality. The symbolic of fruit gives us a key of one art which to be revived in every action.

Leung has his fruit installations exhibited in France at Fragonard Museum of Grasse, International Pilot School of Art & Research, Lola Gassin Gallery of Nice, Museum of the Ceramic in Vallauis, Gallery Art 7 and in Hong Kong at Fringe Club, Shanghai Street Artspace Exhibition Hall, Muse Gallery etc. He received the second prize of sculpture of the Mediterranean Union of Modern Art in 1991. His artworks are being collected by private collectors, museums etc.
